PALM COAST -- Diodoro J. "Ted" Ielardi, 65, of Corona Court, who retired as a New York Police Department detective after 21 years of service, died Saturday at Memorial Hospital-Flagler, Bunnell.
Mr. Ielardi, a Navy veteran, was born in the Bronx, N.Y. He came here in 1993 from Bayside, N.Y. He attended Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, Flagler Beach, and was a member of the 1 0/3 Club of Palm Coast and the Flagler and Daytona senior softball leagues. He also was an avid golfer.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Daryl; a son, Theodore, Cornwall, N.Y.; and two stepsons, Robert and Jimmy Saccomano, both of New City, N.Y.
