ORMOND BEACH -- Marvin Thomas Janus, 67, of Carrick Drive, retired owner and manager of the Daytona Inn Broadway and Daytona Inn Seabreeze, died Sunday at St. Luke's Hospital, Jacksonville.

Born in Detroit, Mr. Janus moved here in 1970 from Dearborn Heights, Mich. He was a member of Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, Flagler Beach, the Civitan Club of Ormond Beach, and the Hotel and Motel Association of Volusia County. He was a past president of the Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce and the Volusia Association for Retarded Children. Mr. Janus enjoyed gardening and travel.

Survivors include his Wife of 43 years; Margaret; a son, Jeffrey, Roswell, Ga.; three daughters, Jacqueline Janus, Atlanta, Cynthia Kloc, Indianapolis, and Carolyn Park, Midlothian, Va.; a brother, Conrad, Laurel, Md.; and seven grandchildren.
