Bunnell, Florida
Thursday, November 22, 1951

James J. Jepson, one of the early settlers of Bunnell, died Saturday morning in the Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine.

Mr. Jepson, who was 80 years of age, was born in Sweden but came to the United States at the age of 19. He came to Flagler County about 40 years ago and homesteaded on the Kings Highway about five miles east of Bunnell.

He later lived in Minneapolis, New Orleans and New York, following his trade as a tailor. He returned to Bunnell in 1943 and since made his home with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. T. O. Durrance.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at Hope Cemetery with Elders Dean Adams, Joseph Nelson, Epperson, and Barker, of the Mormon Church officiating.

Bunnell Lodge No. 200 F. and A. M. conferred the Masonic burial honors. Garcia Funeral Home of St. Augustine was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jepson is survived by one daughter, Mrs. T. O. Durrance of Bunnell. Six grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive.
