PALM COAST - Florence G. Karr, 83, a retired dietitian in the medical industry, died Tuesday at Halifax Medical Center, Daytona Beach. 

Mrs. Karr moved to this area in 1977 from her native Boston. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary and a lifetime member of both the Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliaries. She was a volunteer for several hospice organizations over the years. 

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Charlie; a son, Gregory, Dover, Mass.; four daughters, Claudia Karr, Palm Coast, Susan Burns, Searsmont, Maine, Theresa Guthrie, Concord, Mass., and Loretta Anderson, Lebanon, Conn.; two sisters, Helen Dicharry, Baton Rouge, La., and Blanche Grimas, Dorchester, Mass.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Memorial Mass celebrating the life of Florence G. Karr, 83, Palm Coast, will be 10:30 a.m. Wed., Aug. 15, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Pkwy., Palm Coast. Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
