A Funeral Mass celebrating the life of Frank Andrew Konter, 85, of Flagler Beach, will be held on Thursday July 1, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, 915 N. Central Ave. Flagler Beach. Burial will follow in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening (Wednesday) from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S. Flagler Beach. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 PM Wednesday.

Mr. Konter, a resident of Flagler Beach for the past 20 years coming from Ft. Lauderdale, passed away Monday, June 28, 2010 in Florida Hospital Flagler, Palm Coast. He was born July 2, 1924 in Buffalo NY, a son of the late Andrew A. and Victoria Konter.

Mr. Konter was a retired accountant for Florida Power and Light, a veteran of World War II serving in the US Army Air Corp. as a paratrooper, a member of Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church and Elks Lodge # 2709 in Palm Coast. He was an avid bowler.

Preceding his in death were his parents, a son, Andrew Frank Konter and a sister, Florence Rose.

Surviving are his wife of 34 years Rosemary Konter, three sons, David Andrew Konter, Calhoun GA, Pete Andrew Konter, of Casselberry FL, Kenneth Andrew Konter of Gainesville FL, a step-son, Thomas Snow and his wife Jane of Winston-Salem NC, two step daughters, Nancy Creely and her husband Kevin of Des Plaines IL, and Susan Byrne of Flagler Beach, one sister, Mildred Dettman of Sebring FL, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

 Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
