Services celebrating the life of Ioma “Lee” Kretz  89, of Palm Coast will be held on Wednesday, January 13 at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, FL 32136. Family and friends may visit from 2:00pm until service time at 3:00pm at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held in the Memorial Gardens at Craig Flagler Palms directly proceeding the visitation.

Ioma passed away on January 8, 2016 at Florida Hospital Flagler. She was born on April 12, 1926 in Kinston, North Carolina to the late Lewis P. and Mary Baysden (Owens). She worked for General Motors for over 25 years. In 1978 she and her husband moved to the Palm Coast area from Stryker, OH.  She volunteered at Bunnell Elementary School many years ago and was also a member of a bowling league. Ioma enjoyed bowling, solving crossword puzzles and reading. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother to her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Kretz in 1986; sons, Henry Lewis Stemen in 2008, Billy Ray Stemen in May of 2015; daughter, Denise Dianne Hope in April of 2015 and grandson Tom “Ty” Brandon in 2004.

Survivors include her son, Richard “Dick” Orland and his wife Charlotte “Lou” Stemen of CA; daughter, Karan “Karie” and her husband Porter “Mike” White of TN; brother, Ray Baysden of OH; 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.  

Donations in her memory may be made to Florida Hospital Hospice Care.
