A funeral service celebrating the life of Marie "Mert" LaMonica, 79, of Palm Coast, who passed away Monday June 16, 2008, at Flagler Pines Nursing Home, will be held 3 :OO PM Saturday in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. South, Flagler Beach with Deacon Mike Moody officiating. Her family will receive friends Saturday from 2:00 PM until time of service. Interment will follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens Flagler Beach.
Mrs. LaMonica was born to the late Stephen and Anna LaMonica in Wilkes Barre, P A, and moved to this area from Clifton, NJ, in 1988. She enjoyed bingo and playing slot machinesMrs. LaMonica is survived by two sons: Alan LaMonica and wife Michele of Palm Coast, Joseph LaMonica and wife Laurie also of Palm Coast, sister: Ann Buys of Toms River, NJ, four grandchildren: Dana LaMonica and husband Terry, Amy LaMonica, Michael LaMonica, Kristen LaMonica, three greatgrandchildren: Krysta, Sean, and Cayden.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph in 1995 and son Stephen in 1992
