FLAGLER BEACH -- John Legakis, 75, of North Central Avenue, who retired after 35 years as a syrup maker for the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co., died Monday. 

Mr. Legakis, an Army veteran of World War II serving as a paratrooper, moved here in 1989 from his birthplace, Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a member of St. Demetrius Greek Orthodox Church, Daytona Beach, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Palm Coast. 

Survivors include a brother, Nick, Parlin, N.J.; and a sister, Helen Skaltsakos, Palm Coast.
