Jose Leite, 81, of Palm Coast Florida passed away March 7, 2011 at Florida Hospital Flagler; Palm Coast FL.

Visitation will be held Thursday March 10, 2011 from 5pm until 8pm at the Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast 220 Palm Coast Pkwy SW, Palm Coast FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday March 11, 2011 at 12:30 pm at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 4600 Belle Terre Pkwy, Palm Coast; FL.

Jose was born and raised in Acores, Portugal. He moved to the states in 1971 settling in East Providence Rhode Island. In 2009 he then moved with his wife Urania to Palm Coast, FL. Jose spent his years working as a machine operator to support his beloved family.

In his younger years Jose was an avid traveler, he loved taking cruises the most. In his later years Jose enjoyed watching T.V., especially soccer. He had a strong sense of religion and it showed in all that he did. Jose and his wife were members of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton church, attending when they could.

He will be remembered by his friends and family as a loving and kind man who always had a giant smile on his face. For all that knew Jose remember “breakfast is the most important meal of the day” think kind thoughts and keep smiling…

Jose was preceded in death by two brothers, Amancio Leite and Dimas Leite; one sister, Maria DoRego, all live in Montreal, Canada.

He survived by his loving wife of 55 years Urania Leite of Palm Coast, FL; daughters Rose Rodrigues (Eduardo) of FL, Helena Raposo, (Manny) of Massachusetts, Connie Alecrim (Edward) of FL, Lina Costa (John) of FL, Maria Aiello (Mike) of Rhode Island, and Lucy Turbitt of Rhode Island; eight grand children, two great-grand children; and many nieces and nephews.
