Janet Ryan Lepkowski

On Monday, October 31, 2022, Janet Ryan Lepkowski, loving wife and mother of five, passed away surrounded by her children at age of ninety-six. She was born on November 8, 1925, in Englewood, New Jersey to the late Ambrose Ryan and Margaret (Scanlon) Ryan. Janet attended Saint Cecilia High School in Englewood and later married Edward Lepkowski who passed away in 2008 after nearly 62 years of marriage.

Janet is survived by her children Edward Lepkowski Jr. (wife Joann) of Leander, Texas; Steven Lepkowski (wife Patricia) of Rockaway, New Jersey; Connie Massa (husband Sal) and Stacy Grein (husband Peter) both of Palm Coast, Florida. Janet also had fourteen grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, who were a great source of love and joy. She was predeceased by her loving daughter, Janet Katz (husband Paul survives).

Janet was known for her sense of humor and generous spirit. She was an avid reader and always tended her plants and flowers with great care. She worked for the Pocket Testament League in Englewood and also enjoyed volunteer work with Saint Cecilia Church, the Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Little League and other hometown organizations. Her most notable volunteer work came after retirement, reflected in the years devoted to the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice in Newton, New Jersey shortly after that organization was established in 1980.

Janet moved to Palm Coast in 1992 from Highland Lakes, New Jersey and became an active member of and volunteered at the Santa Maria Del Mar Catholic Church.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at the Santa Maria Del Mar Catholic Church in Flagler Beach, Florida. Interment will follow at Craig Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.
