Grace “Gracie” Lepore, 82, of Palm Coast passed away on January 24, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 13, 1936 in the Bronx, New York to the late Joseph and Mary Curasi (Biondo).
As a young woman she was very well known locally for singing opera. She found her true love Michael, who she then married in 1974. Thus, setting a genuine illustration to her family of what it truly meant to be in love.
After raising her family she and her husband, Michael retired in 1994 and moved to Palm Coast, Florida. Gracie enjoyed going to the casinos and testing her luck at the slot machines but her greatest loves of her life were her beloved grandchildren. She always said, “The greatest gift that have come from my children are my grandchildren”. Gracie will always be remembered for her strong sense of family and being the snapchat queen who always dressed impeccably. She will also be remembered for her quick wit and sharp tongue that allowed a little smile to illuminate anybody's face. Her memberships included the Italian American Social Club and the Elks Club.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael C. Lepore in 2014.
Survivors include her children, Gregory (Jennifer) Licata, Karen Licata, Lisa Miceli, Toni Strippoli; grandchildren, Gregory Licata Jr.; Briana (Sean) Woolbright, Starr Ferrari, Luke Ferrari, Louis Miceli Jr., Taylor-Marie Miceli, Tia Strippoi and her furry grandbaby, Darla; Her loving sisters Mary, Tina, Helen, Florence and Lenora, extended loving family Tania & Gregory Graca, Robert (Lois) Lepore and the Pinto Family.
Donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The American Lung Cancer Fund or the Alzheimer’s & Dementia Society.
Friends may visit on Sunday, January 27, from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM at the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 28, 2:00PM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Friends may visit at the church from 1:00PM until time of the mass in the memorial room. Burial to follow the funeral mass at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.
