A funeral service celebrating the life of Eda D. Lewin, 67, of Palm Coast, who passed away Wednesday October 1, 2008, at Florida Hospital Flagler will be held at 1 :00 PM on Saturday October 11, 2008, at the First Baptist Church of Palm Coast 6050 Palm Coast Pkwy, NW, Palm Coast. Her family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 Noon until time of service also at the church.
Mrs. Lewin was born April 20, 1941, to the late Reginald and Elma (Tamayo) Shirley in Kingston, Jamaica and moved to Palm Coast from Boston MA, in 1998. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Palm Coast and the Twelfth Baptist Church of Boston MA. Mrs. Lewin was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Her survivors include her husband of 42 yrs. Omey, four daughters; Anita Lewin, Christine Lewin, Patricia Lewin, all of London England, Margaret Ibanez and husband Tino, of Palm Coast, two sons; Norman, David Lewin both of London, England, six sisters; Valda and Yvonne Miller and Norma, Glennor, Janet, and Faith Shirley; eight brothers, Sidney Miller, Marshall, David and Solamon Mills, and Donald, Gerald, Victor, and Keith Shirley; 21 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Lewin was preceded in death by a son Stephen in 2006, and six brothers; Cleve, Lemuel, Lester, Leonie, Adolph Shirley, and Lloyd Mills.
Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
