PALM COAST - John Lukinchook, 86, of Cooper Lane, an assistant superintendent of business affairs for the Levittown, N.Y., school system before his retirement, died Sunday at Grand Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. 

Mr. Lukinchook, an Army Air Forces veteran of World War II, was born in Peabody, Mass., and moved here in 1982 from Westbury, N.Y. He earned his doctorate from Boston University. He was a member of St. Mark By The Sea Lutheran Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8696, Elks Lodge, Lions Club and Friends of the Library.

Mr. Lukinchook served on the Flagler County Adult Community Education Advisory Board and was a former president of the New York Association of School Business Officials.

Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Marie; a son, Wallace McGuire, Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.; a daughter, Barbara Luttrell, Spartanburg, S.C.; and two grandchildren.
