JACKSONVILLE - Michael F. Maloney, 86, of Jacksonville, a former Palm Coast resident, died Tuesday at Orange Park Medical Center, Orange Park. Mr. Maloney, who retired as a lieutenant colonel after 35 years with the Air Force, was born in Garland, Ark.

He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and the Lions Club. He enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Arline; a stepson, Edward Beane, Jacksonville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1101 N. Lake Destiny Road, Suite 415, Maitland, FL 32751.

Craig-Flagler Palms, Flagler Beach, is in charge.



Funeral service for Lt. Col. Michael F. Maloney, 86, former resident of Palm Coast, will be 2 p.m. today (Friday, March 24, 2006), in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, Flagler Beach. Burial will follow in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens with full military honors provided by the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.
