A memorial service celebrating the life of Frederick Martin, 73, of Palm Coast, who passed away on Monday, April 13, 2009 at his residence, will be held today (Friday, April 17, 2009) at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. S., Flagler Beach, FL. His family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Frederick was born on September 3, 1935 in Liverpool, England to the late Frederick and Iris (Swede) Martin. He worked as a Division Manager for Mutual of Omaha, retiring after 30 years. He later worked as an Insurance Broker. Frederick was a member of the Elks Club in Palm Coast, and the Christ Lutheran Church. He enjoyed golfing and writing. Frederick moved to Palm Coast in 2000, coming from Atlanta.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Pauline Martin of Palm Coast. Additional survivors include his two sons, Philip Martin of Spartanburg, SC and Craig Martin of Louisville, KY; his two brothers, Reginald Martin of Mitchell, SD and James Martin of San Diego, CA; his two granddaughters, Brittiney and Kirstin Martin; and several nieces and nephews.
Frederick was preceded in death by his sister, Violet James and his brother, Ken Harte.
Memorial donations may be made in memory of Frederick to the Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
