BEVERLY BEACH -- Ernest Joseph Masse, 87, of Merrimac Drive, a retired lace weaver, died Monday at Memorial Hospital-Flagler, Bunnell. 

Mr. Masse was born in Mystic, Conn., and moved to this area in 1977 from Durham, Conn. He was a member of the Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and the Surfside Surfcasters Fishing Club. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, playing pool and bike riding. 

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Katherine; a son, Ernest Jr., Seekonk, Mass.; two daughters, Katherine Feeney, Syracuse, N.Y., and Carol Dietz, Providence, R.I.; a brother, Albert, Attleboro, Mass.; a sister, Doris Paquin, Pawtucket, R.I.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
