BEVERLY BEACH - Russell L. Mathews, 75, of Merrimac Drive, a retired asbestos worker for Allegheny Insulation Co., died Sunday at home.
Mr. Mathews moved to this area in 1986 from his native Pittsburgh. He was a member of the Asbestos Workers Union Local No. 2 and the Masonic Lodge, both of Pittsburgh. An avid Pittsburgh Steelers football fan, he also enjoyed bridge and swimming.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Ruth; a son, Mark, and a daughter, Terri Zeman, both of Pittsburgh; a stepson, Bill Hughes, Tennessee; two stepdaughters, Janet Wright, Plantation, and Nancy Murphy, Coral Springs; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
