Mrs. Susie Brown McDaniel, wife of A.M. McDaniel of Bunnell, died about 10:30 Friday morning in the local hospital following an illness of several weeks.

Mrs. McDaniel, who was 58 years of age, was born in Raleigh, Ga. but lived in Sanford, Florida, for several years where she attended school. She was married to Mr. McDaniel in 1919 and came to Bunnell as a bride. Susie, as she was known to her many friends, was a member of the First Methodist Church of Bunnell and the local Unit of the American Legion Auxiliary. She was active in church circles and also served as one of the first presidents of' the Legion Auxiliary. She was also active in other civic work before her health failed.

Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the First Methodist Church with Rev. L. E. Watkins, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial followed in Hope Cemetery. Garcia Funeral Home of St. Augustine was in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are her husband A. M. McDaniel, a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. M. B. McDaniel of Bunnell; three sisters, Mrs. Grover Spearing and Mrs. W. T. Mitchell of Sarasota, and Mrs. Aldeen McMichaels of Cordele, Ga.; one brother, Collier Brown of Sanford. Also surviving is one grandson, Robert McDaniel, of Bunnell.

Pallbearers were D. D. Moody, M. B. Fuller, Henry Wells, Walter Morris, L. S. Cody and L. E. Wadsworth.
