Anne Duffy McFadden, 83, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 28, 2016, in Palm Coast.  Anne was born on January 1, 1933, in Anagry, County Donegal, Ireland, one of the nine children of Charles and Ellen Duffy.

As a teenager Anne moved to England, where she later married her husband, Denis McFadden, in Coventry, England.  Anne and Denis moved to the United States in 1956, and she made Florida her home for more than fifty years.  Anne raised her seven children in Pompano Beach, Florida, where she was an active and involved mother, school volunteer, and a founder and leader of the Irish Rover Club.  When her children were older, Anne started her working life – first working in the jewelry business and then spending most of her career as a medical billing specialist with the North Broward Hospital District. Anne moved to Palm Coast in 2005 and was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.  She enjoyed socializing with family and friends, going to the beach, and watching football, especially the Miami Dolphins and the University of Miami Hurricanes.  Anne was a loving wife, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Denis McFadden; her son, Denis Charles McFadden; three sisters, Rose Steele, Mary Ann Burke and Bridget Taylor; and two brothers, Charlie Duffy and Peter Duffy.

Surviving Anne are her children, Pearl Seafield and her husband, Bob; Eileen Menendez and her husband, Robert; Kathleen Campos and her husband, Frederick; Patricia McFadden; Caroleen Dineen and her husband, Paul; Fionuala McFadden; and her daughter-in-law, Suzanne McFadden.  Anne also is survived by her fifteen grandchildren [Patrick and Conor Seafield; Robbie, Ricky, Anna, Lisette, and Raymond Menendez; Alyssa Whitcomb and Stephanie McFadden; Caroline Bergner and Stephen and Paul Gould; and Maeve, Denis and Liam Dineen]; two great-grandchildren [Ansley Whitcomb and Denver McFadden]; two sisters [Nora Addison and her husband, Charlie, and Eileen Jackson and her husband, Neil] one brother [Hugh Duffy and his wife, Madge]; and many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass celebrating the life of Anne Duffy McFadden will be celebrated on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. in the Memorial Room of the church and will hold a reception in Seton Hall immediately following the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Anne’s name to the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic School Scholarship Fund. Donations can be sent to the Church address above (please note in the memo section that this is a school scholarship donation in memory of Anne Duffy McFadden).
