McFadden, Denis, 83, formerly of Pompano Beach, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2009 in Palm Coast. Denis was a native of Donegal, Ireland, who made South Florida his home for more than 50 years.

Denis was a plasterer, soccer player, poet, football enthusiast, golf lover, and devoted husband and father who shared his love of life with his many friends.

Denis is survived by his wife, Anne, of Palm Coast, and his seven children: Pearl Seafield, Eileen Menendez, Denis C. McFadden, Kathleen Campos, Trish McFadden, Caroleen Dineen, and Fionuala McFadden. Denis also was the proud grandfather of 15 grandchildren.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 am on Saturday, July 11th, at Nativity Catholic Church, 5220 Johnson Street Hollywood, Florida, with a reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Denis's name to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler (www.hovf.org).

A memorial service for Denis McFadden, 83, formerly of Pompano Beach, Fla., was held on Saturday, July 11 at Nativity Catholic Church in Hollywood, Fla.

Mr. McFadden passed away on Monday, July 6, 2009 in Palm Coast, Fla.

Denis was a native of Donegal, Ireland, who made South Florida his home for 50 years.

Survivors include his wife, Anne, of Palm Coast, and his seven children: Pearl Seafield of Bainbridge, Ga.; Eileen Menendez of Parkland, Fla.; Denis C. McFadden of Apex, N.C.; Kathleen Campos of Olympia, Wash.; Trish McFadden and Caroleen Dineen of Palm Coast; and Fionuala McFadden of New York, N.Y.; and fifteen grandchildren.

Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home in Flagler Beach, Fla. was in charge of funeral arrangements.
