George M. “Mickey” McGuire 

George “Mickey” McGuire, 91, of Ormond Beach, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2015 at his home. George was born in Groton, CT on April 20, 1924 to the late Francis A. and Alice L. McGuire (Richardson).  

As a young man he served in the US Navy during WWII. George was a Quality Control Manager in the Aerospace Industry. He and his wife moved to the Ormond Beach area from East Hanover, NJ. in 1989. George enjoyed all kinds of sports especially golf. His greatest enjoyment in life was being with his beloved family. 

George was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Evelyn “Evie”, in 2010; sister, Loretta Polverino, sister, Jane Pope.  

Survivors include his son, Richard and his wife Carol of East Hanover, NJ; daughter, Alison and her husband Richard Enright of Groton, MA; grandchildren, Kristy and her husband Steve Wallis, Carrie McGuire, Caitlin Enright, Mackie Enright, Conor Enright, Maeve Enright; great-granddaughter, Madison Wallis; brother, Walter McGuire and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. 

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 10:00-12:00PM at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. South, Flagler Beach, FL. Funeral service will begin at 12:00PM. Entombment to follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens with Military Honors. Family requests donations to the charity of your choice.
