CRASH WITH A DUMP TRUCK KILLS A PALM COAST DRIVER

A Palm Coast woman died Friday when her car crashed into the rear of a dump truck hauling a backhoe, according to a Florida Highway Patrol report.

Margaret Ann McGuire, 44, was going south on U.S. 1 in Flagler County about 8:15 a.m. when the accident happened. McGuire’s vehicle struck the truck as Willie Suggs, 68, of Daytona Beach, slowed to make a U-turn near Seminole Woods Parkway.

Suggs was not injured. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts, authorities said.

No charges were filed.
