Pauline E. McHugh, 86, of Palm Coast, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones on March 8, 2018 after a long struggle with Parkinson's disease. She was born on September 24, 1931 in New Rochelle, NY. She and her high school sweetheart, Joseph, were married for 64 years. They retired and moved to Palm coast in 1984 from West Islip, NY.
Pauline was an exceptionally talented artist who taught watercolor classes in the Flagler County Adult Education Program. She participated in many juried and one-women shows and won numerous awards. Pauline was a kind and loving woman who dedicated her life to raising her children and helping others. She spent many years actively participating in the Flagler County Parkinson's support group. She was a member of the Flagler County Art League, enjoyed cruising, and traveled to Ireland, Spain and Morocco. All who knew and loved her will miss her.
Pauline is survived by her husband Joe; children, Robert (Rikke). Eileen (Peter), Jane (Jeff); four grandchildren, September, Heather, Liana and Alex; three great-grandchildren, Preston, Thatcher, and Deluca; her sister, Eileen (Emil); and many loving nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received Saturday, March 17, 2018 from 11:00-12:00 PM at CraigFlagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South in Flagler Beach, where a memorial service will follow at 12:00 PM. Inurnment will follow at Flagler Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. McHugh's name to Parkinson's Foundation, 200 SE 1st Street, Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
