On Monday, April 12, 2021, Matthew Roy McKerlie passed away peacefully at the age of 42. Matthew (Matt) was born September 23, 1978 in Colorado Springs, CO to Eugene and Susan (Gregg) McKerlie. Matt lived most of his life in Florida and resided in Palm Coast, FL at the time of his death. He worked in the service industry, construction and landscaping.

Matt had a beautiful, caring, kind and gentle soul who loved his family fiercely. His best friend and confidant was his brother, Mark. Throughout the years, he could often be seen making funny faces. Some of the things Matt enjoyed the most in life were weightlifting, bike riding, basketball, walks with his mom and sisters, the beaches of Florida and the mountains of Colorado. He was an eloquent writer and when he put the pen to paper, his words flowed beautifully.

Matt is survived by his mother Sue (née Gregg, McKerlie) Beale and stepfather John Beale of Palm Coast, FL; father, Eugene Roy McKerlie and stepmother Ester Quesada of Inverness, FL; brothers, Mark Gregory McKerlie of Palm Coast and Gran Eugene McKerlie of San Antonio, TX; sister, Anna (Beale) Mills her husband Javean Mills and their son Javean John (JJ) Mills of Palm Coast, sister, Angela McKerlie Aboud of Aurora, CO; nephew, Gran M McKerlie; nieces, Aaysha (Aboud) Tkachenko and Jeelan Aboud, and cousins, aunts and uncles.

A visitation will be held for family and friends at Clymer Funeral Home, 39 Old Kings Road North, Palm Coast, FL on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.  Immediately following the visitation, a graveside celebration of life will take place at Flagler Memorial Gardens, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, FL. In lieu of flowers, you may send donations to the Flagler County Humane Society.

The family of Mr. McKerlie entrusted the arrangements to Clymer Funeral Home & Cremations.
