McNAB, WINIFRED DUNCAN - ­Private graveside service for Winifred Duncan McNab, 90, a resident of Flagler Beach since 1950, will be held at the convenience of the family in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens. Winifred passed away Saturday, April 5, 2008, at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House in Palm Coast.

She was born in Greencastle, Ind., on July 2, 1917, a daughter of the late John McKim and Ruby Coffing Duncan. Mrs. McNab was a member of the First Baptist Church of Flagler Beach, a past worthy matron of the Eastern Star and was an accomplished pilot, flying an airplane before she could drive a car. A loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time and caring for her family, she was also a prolific writer of poetry.

Preceding her in death was her husband, R. L. McNab, a past mayor serving in Flagler Beach for 12 years.

Surviving are her six children; Marilyn Parker, Lou McNab Winn, Marcia Hundley, Sandra Harviel, Don McNab and Jim McNab; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family suggests contributions in memory of Mrs. McNab to the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, 150 Memorial Medical Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32164.
