McNeil, 80, of Palm Coast will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S. Flagler Beach. Entombment will follow in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services at the Funeral Home Chapel.
Mrs. McNeil, a resident of Palm Coast for the past 6 months coming from Staten Island NY, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2010 at her home. She was born in Staten Island on July 18, 1930 as a daughter of the late Harry and Frances Cole. Mrs. McNeil was a retired supervisor for the New York City Board of Elections. She was a member of the Palm Coast Community Church and the Bethany Lutheran Brethren Church of Staten Island. She enjoyed her work in the election office, spending time with her family, and knitting.
Preceding her in death was her son, Richard, and a grandson, Sean.
Surviving are two sons, Scott and his wife, Suzanne of Palm Coast, Stephen of Staten Island; one sister, Virginia Staubitz of Staten Island; a daughter-in-law, Patricia McNeil of Arvada, CO; and six grandchildren, Richard, Jessica, Scott, Christian, Kaylyn and Seannee.
Memorial Contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice.
Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
