PALM COAST - Miguel Angel Mercadal, 25, of Whispering Pine Drive, a tow truck driver, died Saturday near the intersection of Interstates 95 and 4 in Daytona Beach, as the result of an automobile accident.

Mr. Mercadal was born in Flushing, N.Y., and moved to this area in 2004 from Elizabeth, N.J. He enjoyed playing video games, basketball, jigsaw puzzles and watching comedy movies.

Survivors include his wife of three years, Sandra; two sons, David and Matthew, both of Palm Coast; his parents, Hector and Marta, Woodbridge, N.J.; and two brothers, Hector Jr., Ozone Park, N.Y., and Gabriel, Woodbridge.

Craig-Flagler Palms, Flagler Beach, is in charge.

The family of Miguel Angel Mercadal, 25, Palm Coast, will receive friends today (Thursday) from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach. The funeral Mass will be Friday at 1 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.
