Marie Rose Montemarano, (nee Coluccio) 88 passed away peacefully on October 21, 2020. Born in Corona, NY she grew up in New York City and lived briefly in Denville, NJ after marriage before settling in Hackettstown, NJ for 37 years to raise her family. She moved to East Stroudsburg, PA for a short time before retiring to Flagler Beach, Florida 19 years ago.

She worked for 25+ years for The Jamesway Corporation.

She is survived by her loving, devoted husband of 60 years Matteo, daughter Barbara Murray and husband Michael of Mount Arlington, NJ and daughter Heather (Kathryn) Carrington of Portland, Maine and a sister Judith Soto of Lithia, Florida.

Some of her fondest memories were of spending time with her grandchildren whom she cherished: Patrick, Michael, Juliet, Anthony, Alexa and Natasha. She also had three great grandchildren including Paulo who loved her dearly.

She was predeceased by her parents Katherine and Frank Coluccio, sister Jean Coluccio, and brothers Louis and Joseph Coluccio.

In Florida, she enjoyed her retirement years surrounded by wonderful friends in her active adult community and participated in bingo, ladies’ day luncheons, clubhouse activities and the Red Hat Society. She was also a parishioner at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bunnell, Florida.

Visitation will be from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach, Florida followed by a funeral Mass at 1 PM at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 89 St. Mary’s Place, Bunnell, Florida 32110. Burial will follow at Flagler Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Halifax Health Hospice in her memory.
