Melvin Claude Moore, Flagler Beach, resident for the past 16 years, died here suddenly at 11 o’clock Monday evening at his home there. He was a native of Lowell, Indiana.

Mr. Moore, who was 55 years of age, was engaged in the contracting and building business.

Apparently in perfect health, he had spent Monday in Jacksonville on business, returning home in the early evening. He suffered a heart attack only a few minutes before he died.

Funeral services were held at the graveside in Hope Cemetery at 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, with the Rev. Pounds, pastor of the Adventist Church of St. Augustine, officiating.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Garcia Funeral Home of St. Augustine.

Survivors include his widow; one daughter, Florence, and one son, Edwin, all of Flagler Beach; also one brother, Ray Moore.
