MORENO – Marguerite Palm Coast, FL. Passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2005 in Palm Coast, FL.
She received her PHD from Fordham University and she taught at Columbia University, New York University and was a Professor at Seton Hall University. Marguerite was a Dept. Head at William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ, where she became the Chairperson of the Early Childhood Education Dept. She was also a Professor Emeritus at William Paterson University,
She was a member of Phi Delta Kappa, head of the New Jersey Reading Teachers Assoc., named an outstanding Educator of America, member of the Matanzas Shores Women’s club, and was a daily communicate at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and teacher who believed every child, no matter what the obstacle, has the ability to learn.
Marguerite’s loving husband of 57 years, Peter Moreno preceded her in death on October 9, 2003.
Survivors include her son and daughter-law, John H. and Victoria Moreno of Oakland, NJ; her daughter Mary Ellen Moreno of Coast, FL; and her two beloved granddaughters, Elizabeth Ann Moreno and Emily Amanda Moreno.
