PALM COAST -- Mr. Clifford Earl Morton of Palm Coast, who has family in Bartow, died Saturday (Oct. 9, 1999) at Memorial Hospital, Ormond Beach. He was 81. 

Born in Washington, D.C., he moved to Palm Coast from Alexandria, Va., in 1982. He retired from the Department of Defense. He was an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a member of the 91st Bomb Group. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Flagler Beach, where he served as a deacon. 

He is survived by his wife, May; son, Clifford Morton Jr., Bartow; stepson, Dan Frailey, Guyton, Ga.; daughter, Lynne Brady, Tucson, Ariz.; stepdaughters, Elaine Frailey, Daytona Beach, and Eleanor Shill, Winter Park; brother, Darwin Morton, Baltimore; sister, Audrey Martin, Jasper, Ga.; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
