FLAGLER BEACH - George Hildred Newbury, 80, of South Flagler Avenue, a retired director of the Flagler County Agricultural Extension Service, died Monday at home. 

Mr. Newbury, an Army veteran of World War II, was born in Jamestown, N.Y., and moved to this area in 1972 from Plantation. He was a member of Flagler Beach United Methodist Church. Mr. Newbury enjoyed gardening and yardwork. 

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Ruth; a son, Robert, Flagler Beach; two daughters, Margaret Newbury, Flagler Beach, and Susan Eatman, St. Augustine; and three grandchildren.
