Loretta Daniels Nietubic 

At the age of 96, Loretta passed January 24, 2018. She was born to Lon and Lora Daniels March 10, 1921 in Paintsville, KY.

Loretta received her 2-year secretary degree from Mayo Technical School, Paintsville, KY. She went to work at the Pentagon, Arlington, VA., as a secretary during WWII. She met her husband Leon Nietubic who was in the Army (MP) and they married February 12, 1943. During her life time she worked at the Island Creek Coal Co; and the U.S. Post Office in Wharton, W.Va. After moving back to Kentucky to help take care of her mother she went back to Mayo Technical School and received her Cosmetology Certificate.

In 1965 Leon and Loretta moved to Ormond by the Sea, Ormond Beach, FL. She went to work as a word clerk for Dr. Hull Oceanside Hospital and also at Ormond Memorial Hospital until she retired. She has lived in Flagler Beach, FL, for more than 25 years.

She leaves behind her daughter, Sandra of Flagler Beach, FL; Nieces: Janna (Paul) Sheets of River, KY; Dadena (Dena) K. Kerns of AZ, Nephews, Ralph Roe, of AZ, Doug Zimmer of Deltona FL., Chris (Cathie) Zimmer of NJ., Most of all she leaves behind her best friend Joyce O'Dell and her husband George of Flagler Beach FL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lon and Lora Daniels; Sisters, Betsy Prince, Edna Daniels, Flora "Shug" Adams, and Olga Kerns; One brother Hobert Daniels, and her husband Leon.

Family and friends will be received Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, in Flagler Beach, where services will be held at 11:00 AM.

Entombment to follow at Flagler Memorial Gardens. There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
