PALM COAST - Alfred L. Nigro, 83, of Winterling Place, a retired carpenter, died Wednesday at Grand Oaks Health & Rehabilitation.
Mr. Nigro, a Navy veteran of World War II, moved to this area in 1991 from Glen Cove, N. Y., his birthplace. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, The New York Club and was a lifetime member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars. He enjoyed golf, woodworking and travel.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth; a son, Alan, Ronkonkoma, N.Y.; a daughter, Elaine Foster, Jacksonville; two sisters, Ann Jones, Port Orange, and Adeline Shay, Glen Cove; and six grandchildren.
Craig-Flagler Palms, Flagler Beach, is in charge.
