PALM COAST - Louis Nirenstein, 83, of Palm Coast, who retired in 1989 after 35 years as an aerospace technician for Barnes Engineering, Stamford, Conn., died Friday at Kindred Hospital, Green Cove Springs. 

Mr. Nirenstein, an Army veteran of World War II, was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and moved to this area in 1990 from Stamford. He was a member of the British Club, Palm Coast, Palm Coast Yacht Club and the Eastern Paralyzed Veterans Association. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. 

Survivors include two daughters, Rita, Stamford; two sisters, Frances Kress, Rockville, Md., and Rose Silverman, Fairfax, Va.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to a charity one's choice.
