Funeral Services celebrating the life of Dolores G. Niven, 79, of Palm Coast will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S. Flagler Beach. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the services at the funeral home.

Mrs. Niven passed away on Tuesday December 27, 2011 at Flagler Pines Nursing Home. She was born in Jersey City NJ, January 15, 1932 a daughter of the late David and Edith Horner Goldie.

She was a member of the Palm Coast United Methodist Church, the New Jersey Social Club, Flagler Volunteer Services, and the Belle Terre Swimming and Racquet Club. She loved to bike ride, was an excellent cook and enjoyed movies and soap operas.

Preceding her in death was her husband, Douglas R. Niven, a grandchild, Gary, two sisters, Ruth Karcesky and Eleanor Batich, and two brothers, Russell Goldie and Robert Goldie.

Surviving are two daughters, Denise Sherman and her husband Gary of Jackson NJ, Diane Niven-Smith and her husband Jeff of Oviedo FL, three sons, David Niven and his wife Marianne of Jackson NJ, Douglas Niven and his wife Ginny of Middletown NJ and Donald Niven of Palm Coast FL, one brother, Donald Goldie of Freehold NJ, seven grandchildren, Shannon, Shawn, Courtney, Alyson, Angela, Aimee and Ethan, and two great grandchildren, Jacob and Ellianna. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and sister.
