Madeline G. Novalis

Born in Lebonan, PA, to the late Peter and Mary George, in 1942. Madeline graduated from Reading High School in 1960, moving on to Kutz Town University where she received her Degree in Biology in 1964, she received her Master Degree in Library Science in 1977.

She was a teacher/librarian and retired in 1993 and moved to Palm Coast in 1994 from Baltimore, Maryland. Madeline enjoyed reading, flowers, mah-jong, traveling and her four french poodles. She traveled the world extensively with her husband, visiting, China, Russia, Egypt, Australia, New Zealand and many other countries. Madeline was a member of Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, Irish Social Club, Elks and Red Hat Society.

Madeline is survived by her beloved husband, Edward Novalis; sister, Betty (Jimmy) James of Bonita Springs, FL; brother, Peter (Sharon) George, Jr. of Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Sylvia (Ed) Smith; nieces, Stephanie (Carl) Kubitz, Tara Sell, Cathy (Steve) Bloom and Sheryl (Eric) Ruffner; nephews, J.P. James, Nicholas James and Christopher James; including several great nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit 3:00PM-7:00PM, today (Friday, March 2, 2012) and Saturday, March 3, 2012, 11:00am till mass time at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. South, Flagler Beach, FL. Funeral Mass will be held, Saturday, March 3, 2012, 12:00PM at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, 915 N. Central Ave., Flagler Beach. Entombment to follow at Flagler Palm Memorial Gardens, Flagler Beach, FL.
