ODDI - -A funeral service for Joanne Elizabeth Oddi, 77, of Palm Coast, who passed away on Friday, August 7, 2009 will be celebrated at 11:00AM Monday, August 10, 2009 at the chapel of Craig Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S. Flagler Beach. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time.

Joanne was born on January 3, 1932 in Anneville, PA to the late Allen and Verna Shaak (Boltz). She and her husband moved to the Palm Coast area from Ft. Benning, GA. in 1977. Joanne was a proud Army officer's wife, avid reader, enjoyed good music and collecting antique perfume bottles.

Joanne was also one on the original volunteers with hospice in Flagler County. The most important role in her life was being a loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who's primary interest was taking good care of her family. She accomplished this with a smile in her eyes, a wry sense of humor and a generous heart.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years Vincent Joseph Oddi; son, Peter and his wife Sherry Oddi of Richmond Hill, GA; daughters, Patricia and her husband Michael Adam of Palm Coast; Deborah and her husband Arnold Azcuy of Jacksonville; sister, Ruth O'Neil of Elizabethtown, PA; brother, A. Robert Shaak of Maryville, IL; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Granny Nannies, Florida Hospital Hospice Care and the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House.
