Philomene, called "Phyl" by all, was born in Biddeford, Maine. Phyl met her husband while doing radio commercials at his company he worked for. After marrying, Phyl and her husband lived in Arizona, and then settled in Pennsylvania. She became very active with the church and functioned with many charitable activities including program director for the religious channel. After their son was married they would visit Florida each winter.

After retirement and a bad winter, they decided to move to Florida, settling in Flagler Beach in 1995. Phyl was very active in Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister. Phyl is a member of the Woman's Club at church as well as Flagler Beach Woman's Club. She became a charter member of the St. Vincent DePaul Conference which began in 2007. There she was an active advocate for the needy of Flagler County.

Phyl is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Allen; their only son, Rocco (Donna); grandchildren Emily, Jonathan and April.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, March 28, 2014, 11:00 AM at Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, Flagler Beach.

Friends may call on Thursday, March 27, 2014, from 4:00PM-8:00PM at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd, South, Flagler Beach.

Burial will take place Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.

Donations in memory of Phyl can be made to Society of St. Vincent DePaul, PO Box 1328, Flagler Beach, Fla. 32136.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
