FLAGLER BEACH - Soula Phillips, 86, of Pebble Beach Circle, a former music teacher for Landon High School, Jacksonville, died Monday at Florida Hospital Flagler, Palm Coast. 

Mrs. Phillips, a graduate of Birmingham Southern Conservatory of Music, was born in Birmingham, Ala. She moved to this area in 2004 from Woodstock, Va.

She was active with the Girl Scouts of America, where she was a troop leader and leader trainer.

Mrs. Phillips was a past president of the Miami Women's Club and Eastern Star Society. She enjoyed traveling and playing bridge. 

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Bob; a son, Steven, Anacortes, Wash.; a daughter, Karen Sevison, Flagler Beach; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
