BUNNELL, Fla. – Richard H. Pippins, 67, formerly of Lightfoot, died Monday in Bunnell Community Hospital.
Born in King and Queen County, he formerly managed the Phippins Grocery Store in Lightfoot which is now the Lightfoot Community Market.
HE retired from Exxon Oil Co. and was a member of Bunnell Baptist Church.
Local survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Jane P. Edwards of Williamsburg; four sisters, Mrs. Angela Layne of Newport News, Mrs. Edna Bobbitt, Mrs. Louise Andrews and Mrs. Evelyn Gowin, all of King and Queen County; and a brother, Ryan Phippins of King and Queen County.
Other survivors include his wife, Mrs. Louise B. Phippins; two daughters, three sons, a sister, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
A funeral will be held at 4:30 p.m. in Craig Funeral Home, Bunnell, Fla.
Burial will be in Bunnell.
