Funeral Mass celebrating the life of Jose Agapito Pineda, 91, Palm Coast, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2006, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Pkwy., Palm Coast. Burial will follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends today (Thursday) from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road S., Flagler Beach.

PALM COAST - Jose Agapito Pineda, 91, of Frankford Lane, a retired farmer, died Tuesday at home. 

Mr. Pineda was born in Baitoa, Dominican Republic, and moved to this area in 1992 from Gainesville. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, where he sang in the choir. He was also a member of the Hispanic American Club of Palm Coast. Mr. Pineda enjoyed music, art, sunrises at the beach, gardening and telling stories. 

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Quisqueya; six sons, Juan and Steve, both of Palm Coast, Marcos, Jacksonville, Armando, West Palm Beach, Jose, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Robert, New York; three daughters, Finlandia Pineda and Lucy Barbosa, both of Palm Coast, and Clara Lout, Tempe, Ariz.; a brother, Nick, Oklahoma City; a sister, Sara Mason, San Diego; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Lane, Port Orange, FL 32129, or to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, FL 32164.
