Maryanne Piovane, 78, of Flagler Beach passed away on November 24, 2017 at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House. She was born on October 6, 1939 in Lansford, PA to the late Stephen and Anna Matsick (Stanislav).
Maryanne worked as a nurse for over 30 years. She was a devout catholic serving as a Eucharistic Minister for several years at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Philadelphia and in St. Marys' Catholic Church in Korona. She was a very crafty woman who enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She used her talent to help others in need.
She and her group of P.O.S.H. sisters knit blankets and hats for mothers and babies at St. Gerard's Campus, as well as knitting blankets for nursing home patients and hats and scarves for the homeless. She was an involved member of the local Pennsylvania Club. She will always be remembered for her selfless giving.
She was preceded in death by her husband John Rocco Piovane in 2013.
Survivors include her children, John M. and his wife Patricia Piovane of Portsmouth, VA., Anne M. and her husband Stan Materna of Mechanicsville, VA., Rosemarie and her husband Michael O'Drain of Philadelphia, PA., 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 1:00-2:30PM at the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 30, 3:00PM at the St. Joseph's Carmelite Monastery in Bunnell. Interment to follow at Craig-Flagler Palms Cemetery.
