Joseph Polchinski
MARCH 15, 1916 -- JUNE 4, 2004 

PALM COAST -- Joseph M. Polchinski, 88, of Filbert Lane, a lieutenant with the New York City Police Department before his retirement, died Friday at home. 

Mr. Polchinski was born in the Bronx, N.Y., and moved to this area in 1981 from Whitestone, N.Y. He was a member of Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church. An avid reader, Mr. Polchinski enjoyed golf, jogging and crossword puzzles. 

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Alice; a son, Michael, Oceanside, N.Y.; four daughters, Ellen Giannone, Daytona Beach, and Veronica Polchinski, Virginia Cody and Patricia Spadea, all of Palm Coast; a brother, Matthew, New York; two sisters, Mary Maitland, Mount Vernon, N.Y., and Cecilia Robl, Stroudsburg, Pa.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
