Adelino was born on September 19, 1927 in Anelhe, Portugal to the late Acacio and Carminda Rodrigues Portal. He worked as a farmer until he moved to the States. He then was a baker and also made shoes.

In 1992 he moved to the Palm Coast area from New Haven, Ct. Adelino enjoyed fishing, playing the harmonica but he loved to dance and have a good time with family and friends. His memberships included the Portuguese American Club in New Haven, CT and Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Amelia; sons, Joseph (Isabel) Portal, Felisberto (Cecilia) Portal; brothers, Porfirio, Joaquim, and Aderito Portal all of Portugal; sisters, Eliza Portal of Brazil and Isaura Veiga of Portugal; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, from 12:00-2:00PM. The Funeral Service is to begin at 2:00PM at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. S. Flagler Beach. Entombment to follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens.

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
