PALM COAST Luis Fernando Portalatin, 75, of Farragut Drive, a native of Puerto Rico, died Monday at home. 

Mr. Portalatin, an Army veteran of World War II, moved to this area in 1989 from Brooklyn, N.Y. He enjoyed making people laugh. 

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Carlita; two sons, Luis and Harry, and a daughter, Helga Diaz, all of Palm Coast; six brothers, Gilbert, Orlando, Elmo, Palm Coast, Chico, Salt Lake City, Ray, Houston, Manuel, South Carolina, and Ralph, Boca Raton; two sisters, Camile Montijo and Nilda Rosada, both of Palm Coast; and seven grandchildren.
