PALM COAST - Christopher O'Keefe Potter, 39, a butcher for Publix, died Sunday at Florida Hospital Flagler, after a short illness. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., Mr. Potter came to this area in 2006 from Toms River, N.J. He graduated from culinary school in New Jersey. He enjoyed science fiction, especially "Star Wars," watching the Discovery Channel and fishing.

Survivors include his wife of seven years, Jennifer; two daughters, Christina Costa and Halie Potter, both of Palm Coast; his mother, Sheila Potter, Jackson, N.J.; and a brother, Adam, Jackson.

Craig Flagler Palms, Flagler Beach, is in charge.

Funeral service for Christopher O. Potter, 39, who passed away Sunday, March 11, 2007, at Florida Hospital Flagler, will be 11:00 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Rd. South, Flagler Beach.

His family will receive friends today (Thursday) from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Christopher was born in Bronx, N.Y., and moved to this area in 2006 from Toms River, N.J. He graduated from Culinary School in New Jersey and became a butcher and eventually went to work as a butcher for Publix. Christopher enjoyed Star Wars, anything to do with sci-fi and fishing.

Preceding him in death were his father, Robert; and his grandparents.

He is survived by his wife of 7 years, Jennifer; two daughters, Christina Costa, Haile Potter, Palm Coast; mother, Sheila Potter, Jackson, N.J.; one brother, Adam Potter, Jackson, N.J.; father and mother-in-law, Bill and Martha Costa, Manchester, N.J.; two brothers-in-law, Tommy (Kelly) Costa, Mike (Nicole) Costa; as well as his wife's grandparents; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Arrangements are in the care and trust of Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home.
