Mrs. Celia Powe has played a major role in the lives of many individuals. She was a true jewel who has been called home to rest on June 24, 2017 and received her reward for the many tasks she has performed so brilliantly.
Mrs. Celia Powe was the daughter of the late Mr. George Washington Key and the late Mrs. Mattie Calhoun Key.
She was the youngest of 6 siblings. She grew up in the small town of Hawkinsville, GA. At a very young age she moved to Long Island, NY where she married the love of her life: Mr. Lafayette Franks. The two then soon had a son by the name of Mr. Gregory Franks. She worked as an Electronics Engineer for a very long time. Mrs. Celia then met a wonderful man by the name of Mr. Frank Powe and the two got married. They retired and moved to Palm Coast, FL.
Mrs. Celia leaves to cherish behind her 3 grandchildren: Genee Franks of Orlando, FL; Darcel Franks Toliver of Hempstead, NY; and Gregory Franks, Jr. of Hempstead, NY; two great-grandchildren: Zenea Johnson and Cody Toliver; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends.
There will be a visitation from 12:00 – 1:00 pm Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Daniels Funeral Home, Live Oak, FL. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Tommy Jefferson officiating. Interment will be on Friday, June 20, 2017 at Flagler Palm Coast Memorial Gardens, Palm Coast, FL.
