James Daniel Quintiliani of Palm Coast, FL, formerly of Newburgh & Marlboro, NY, entered into rest on Friday, January 11, 2008, surrounded by his loving family at Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, Palm Coast, FL.

James was born on December 171 1929 in Marlboro, NY, to the late Loreto and Anna (Cetrone) Quintiliani. He served in the U.S. Army from 1946-1948 in Yokohama, Japan as a Technician - First Class. James worked for Calvert Distillers Co. and the National Biscuit Co. as a Salesman. He retired from N.Y. Trap Rock, Lone Star Industries, Inc., where he was an Operating Engineer.

James was a member of the American Legion, the Santa del Mar Catholic Church, and a former member of the Italian American Club. He loved to go hunting and fishing. He loved music, and playing his guitar and harmonica. He also loved to cook and will always be remembered for his wonderful pasta fagioli. He loved to ride his bicycle built for two with his wife, and take walks on the beach. He continued to enjoy his hobbies even after he lost his eyesight in recent years.

James is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Anna Mae (Stvtecki) Quintiliani of Palm Coast, FL; two daughters, Cindy A. Chesser Ferrara and husband, Michael of Newburgh, NY, and Karen E. Yarbrough and her husband, Ken of Palm Coast, FL; son, James D. Quintiliani of Bunnell, FL; brother, Anthony Quintiliani of Palm Coast, FL; Sister, Louise Dubaldi and husband, Hugo of New Windsor; brother-in-law, Paul Tudico of Albany, NY; two grandsons, Benjamin D. Chesser of Middletown & James R. Chesser of St. Petersburg, FL; granddaughter, Kristy M. Chesser of New York City, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Anne Quintiliani; two brothers, Carlo Quintiliani & William J. Quintiliani St.; three sisters: Josephine DeFabio, Lucy Tudico and Mary Sassone.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 15, at 10:30 a.m. at the Santa Maria del Mar Catholic Church, 915 N. Central Ave., Flagler Beach, FL. Entombment will follow at Flagler Palms Memorial Gardens, Flagler Beach, FL.
