Raymond Ramey 84, of Flagler Beach passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at his ome. He was born on May 15, 1932 in Harts, West Virginia to the late Byron and Jessie Ramey (Atkins). 
As a young man he served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. 

Raymond retired as supervisor in electronics and moved to the Flagler Beach area in 2000 from Streamwood, Illinois. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bunnell and enjoyed spending his quiet time reading. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Vesta Lee Ramey; son, David Allen Ramey and sisters Marie Ramey and Maxine Kretzer. 

Survivors include daughters, Jeri Gurnicz of Flagler Beach, Karen Gregg of Carol Stream , IL; sisters, Dott Frye of Chapmanville, WV; Arlene Dalton of Huntington, WV; brothers, Robert Ramey of Huntington, WV; Terry Lee Ramey of Carlinville, IL; grandchildren, Brandi, Ashley, Alexandra, Samantha, Mackenzie, Jessie and Lucas; and great-granddaughter Reese.

Friends may pay their respects on Thursday, April 6, 2017, from 4:00-8:00PM at Craig-Flagler Palms Funeral Home, 511 Old Kings Road South, Flagler Beach.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 7, 11:00AM at the First Baptist Church of Bunnell. Internment with Military Honors to follow at Flagler Memorial Gardens. 

Donations in his memory may be made to the church.
